OUR BEGINNINGS

This ministry first aired on September 4th 1993 on WMHI Cape Vincent, N.Y. At that time Rev. Allan McQuarrie pastored a Baptist church, and over the next few months he knew that the Lord was opening an opportunity to bring Christian radio to Christians. On May 1st of 1994 he and his wife resigned their pastorate and stepped out in complete faith convinced that the Lord was opening the door for full-time Christian radio ministry.

Since the ministry first aired the response to this format has been positive. The Lord has laid it upon our hearts to proclaim the gospel over the radio, and we are convinced that doors will continue to open allowing Christian radio to challenge Christians.

Presently, our program is the only Christian show of this format, produced by Christians for Christians. It is because of this, we know that many Christians are enthusiastic to hear a show that is aimed directly at their spiritual needs and political situation.

Our ministry is both evangelical and non-denominational. Each 15 minute program deals with issues which are unique to Christians but from a Christian perspective.

The goal of each program is to call the church back to prayer, Bible study and a personal walk with the Lord.

Our programs are fully produced in our own recording studio and distributed through Reimer Agency.

OUR AIM + GOALS + MISSON

Christian Perspective Christian Radio shall seek to be engaged in the following activities:


1) Daily Radio Programming.

Presently, our program "Christian Perspective" is a talk format show dealing with issues which are relevant to Christians from a Christian view point. It is heard five days a week as a fifteen minute program. Christian Perspective first aired September 4, 1993.

2) Developing two other radio shows which are now in the works.

One program would seek to reach seniors and would deal with current and relevant issues. This show would be hosted by a senior who is actively involved in senior church ministries in Canada. The other program would be aimed at reaching the youth of our nation in a contemporary way to challenge them to serve the Lord.

3) Syndication of these shows.

Syndication of these shows under the ministry is being sought on various radio stations. This is already in process. We see these programs as some of the most marketable Christian radio shows in Canada.

4) Weekly Bible preaching and teaching in various churches of all denominations.

This would include a presentation of the ministry and a challenge of the people to support the work in their community. Various people from the ministry would seek to present the work to various churches and other organizations for the purpose of meeting needs and gaining exposure to the various groups.

5) Seeking financial aid for the purpose of administration and radio air costs.

This ministry has been, from the outset, a faith mission. That means all cost for the radio air time, administration and other expenses is covered as a result of the personal financial giving of those who see the value and personal benefit of such a ministry.

6) Personal Counseling/ Teaching

As part of the mandate of this ministry it would always be the priority of those involved to be actively involved the personal lives of others. This is for the purpose of encouraging one another in our common daily struggles, as well as to teach them the blessings that God's Word has for them. Biblical counseling would be done by those who are presently trained in this field.

HOW I CAN HELP IN BRINGING REVIVAL?

Revival, biblically, is to breathe life back into something that has fainted or died. We need our churches to live again; to regain a separated life, to walk by faith trusting in the Lord; to confess their sin and to stand once again upon the Word of God.

You can be a part of revival in this nation by praying today, and spending time in God's Word. Then make sure that daily your life is one of Christian integrity. That you are as you say you are before God. Then we need to pray for our leaders; both our spiritual and government leaders.

It is by God's people that He has determined to achieve His work and you can be a vital part of this work!.
